Prep the craft. Get the food coloring you want,
the eggs, Tupperware (one for each color and large enough to hold multiple egg
halves) and your ingredients for
the yolk filling.
Boil the eggs (leaving them in to boil a few minutes longer will
make them easier to peel)
Set your Tupperware up with the food coloring and water (keep
water displacement in mind and only fill them half way)
Cut the eggs in half separate the yolks and put the white parts
into the color bowls. (Put in fridge over night to soak)
Make your yolk mixture for the inside (color it at this point if
desired) and set in fridge till tomorrow.
Once you take eggs out of color you will see how vibrant they
look from really soaking that entire color in. but if you bite one you will
notice that they are still very white inside. Dry the eggs halves and put in
your yolk mixture. Enjoy.
(NOTE: if you are doing dinosaur eggs, its cool to boil the eggs,
crack the shell but leave the shell on the egg, put in color water (darker) then
remove shell and let egg soak in a lighter color overnight. It will give it a
cool crackle look. )
Thank you for taking the time to follow me. You are what keep starving artist eating. Even if you never buy a drop of paint from me...Just knowing people think they are worth looking at is pretty cool.
