Tonight is a night to remember. Tonight I am on a date to see the Foo Fighters live in Oklahoma City from the world tour at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.
The crowd was already warmed up and ready to go thanks to the extraordinary Gary Clark Jr.’s opening act.
A base sound tears through the roar of the audience rendering everyone silent. The silence broken by a piercing scream from Dave Grohl. Goosebumps cover me as the instruments begin pacing to a rhythm that makes the tiny seating of the auditorium the only down side of the show.
The basest Nate Mendel, had just become a father not hours before the show in another state. Still had the dedication to fly back to Oklahoma to play for us. Dave had a broken leg from a prior show accident and champed through the entire concert with leg in boot rocking it from a Game of Thrones, Star Power scale type chair of lighting majesty his crew built for him.
I was blown away by the way the background was like watching a music video but the footage was all live. I am stunned at how much Dave actually sounds exactly like what I hear on the albums. No digital help for him that scream is 100% real and 100% face melting!!!
Thank you for taking the time to follow me. You are what keep starving artist eating. Even if you never buy a drop of paint from me...Just knowing people think they are worth looking at is pretty cool.
