For years the age old question who would win in a fight between Floyd Mayweahter or Manny Pacquiao has existed? Well now its time that they have to duke it out once and for all and I tell you folks…..I for one and excited. It was a tough decision but I am leaning to say that Manny will take it home. I am feeling inspired by this fight and all the excitement it holds. I will do a painting or series of paintings of the fight and victor. They will be for sale so keep your eyes open.
Well I had the privilege of getting to watch this fight….I was for lack of better words, disappointed. In a fight of top guns I would expect a bit more of a …I don’t know, fight? It seemed to me that Pacquiao was the only one in the ring to fight. Although I must hand it up to Mayweather, he did win. He landed a lot of punches and dodged a hell of a lot more. I have never seen so much glove tapping; I had to stop myself from adding my own words Mystery Science Theatre style. Mayweather ended up taking home the win after all of “points” were tallied. But the whole thing seemed anti-climactic to me. You could tell by the faces on the audience at the fight the feeling was mutual. I watched too much pre game build up and expected more. That being said, it was a good fight. What I felt killed the night was the post-fight interviews which if I went into detail about ….I would have to do another blog. Since I don’t do this to spread negativity, that’s all I have to say about that.
I am still using the emotional ball that is this fight to inspire some artwork.
Thank you for taking the time to follow me. You are what keep starving artist eating. Even if you never buy a drop of paint from me...Just knowing people think they are worth looking at is pretty cool.
