Introducing my first attempt at Mr. Baron Von Rotten AKA Judge Doom from the movie “Who framed Roger Rabbit?”
This was a very fun makeup to do. I used a skull cap and applied it low on my eyebrow line (after gluing my eyebrows down of course) I cut a slit in the top of the cap and pulled some of my hair out. I did not have color hair spray so I just used cream face paint coloring to lighten it up, and pinned it up to sit on top of my head and hide the cap edge. I took some pictures with and some without the fake teeth I made using Polymorph plastic purchased from Amazon. I think that the teeth could be better and bigger to enhance the effect, the ones I made were too similar to my own teeth that the pictures without I think came out better. I was surprisingly comfortable in the makeup.
My husband tells me that the fall of this look was the eyes. I used a mixture of cream and acrylic paint to do the red and yellow swirls and after just a few blinks the effect was lost. His recommendation is to use contacts for the beady eyes and still paint the outer white cartoon eyes. In my mind this would be a good fix to make the costume more wearable and functional.
Which brings me to my next point. A serious conversation came up about comic con. I have decided and begun working on two costumes for the three day convention a Pro from The Pro and Cassie Hack from Hack Slash, Keith brought up the idea of the Judge being my third costume and he would be Eddie Valiant. (throwing a ton of accessory ideas out too) A friend told me that I could even use the glasses and hat get up, then have a reveal when I wanted. The only other Idea I have had is to do a she Hulk (because Lou Forrigno will be at the Tulsa comic con this year) but If you follow my blog you will understand why I am not upset to pass on the idea……this year.
Thank you for taking the time to follow me. You are what keep starving artist eating. Even if you never buy a drop of paint from me...Just knowing people think they are worth looking at is pretty cool.
