For a Frankenstein’s monster gender bender idea, I took a great deal of inspiration from Lex. An idol of mine who has a youtube channel I stock.
She made a video with a Frankenstein monster makeup that was only a few patches and I really like that take so you don’t need to apply makeup all over the face and body. I will eventually own her brush line, until then I’ll make do with my art brushes. I made the mistake of putting my contacts in before doing the makeup thinking that would be easier. www.lens.com But really the contact limited my vision and depth perception making the stitches almost impossible. So, while my fist attempt went over well for the event I was at…..I will be attempting this one again. I used Mehrons paradise makeup for the entire face…..oh except Jeffrey Star lipstick that I used for the mouth gray color. www.beautylish.com For the electricity charge knobs on the neck I used bottle caps spray painted silver attached with liquid latex I got at Party Galaxy a local costume store. (hey guess what?! You may not know this but you really do have fine hairs on your neck!!) taking them off was painful…..to say the least. I recommend a layer of glue stick if you do this. It will protect you tiny hairs ….and your sanity. No frankenstin monster is complete with a Frankenstein type mad scientist. (Pictured: my husband Keith) for his makeup we just sprayed his face a bit with black hair color spray so it appeared like something exploded in his face. And an Egor (pictured: my dog Hero.) I used hot glue and an old sweater of Keith’s, I added cotton balls to the back so he would have the trademark hump.
Thank you for taking the time to follow me. You are what keep starving artist eating. Even if you never buy a drop of paint from me...Just knowing people think they are worth looking at is pretty cool.
